Question I have a gmc truck with a 1987 454 in it and one day it just quit and I can't get it started. It turns over fine and gets gas but there is no spark. I replaced the coil, distributer cap and rotor, the module inside the distributor, and the pickup coil. and stull nothing. I even put a used distributer in and nothing. I do get power to the distributer, but nothing out.
Answer Hi Jason... did you check to see if the rotor inside the dist is turning when you turn truck over....you may have a broke gear on the bottom of the dist or broke timing chain...if they are ok i would look at the pick up coil in the dist.... hope this helps
