QUESTION:  I have a 1984 chevy van g20 3/4 ton 305 engine and my problems is that the passanger rear axle is leaking from the seal would you have or possibly direct me to how to remove the axle and replace the seal I would appreciate it.......

ANSWER: first I need to know what rear differential you have gm put two different types in this van.
when you remove the wheel is it just the lug bolts you see or is there a set of bolts in the center of the lug bolts

QUESTION: Just the lug bolts Gary....

Answer
Raise vehicle and remove wheel and brake drum.
Drain lube from carrier and remove cover.
Remove differential pinion shaft lock screw and remove differential pinion shaft.pic attached
Pull flanged end of axle shaft toward center of vehicle and remove C-lock from button end of shaft.
Remove axle shaft from housing.
remove the seal with a small chisel from the edge
