Hi,I have a 1989 S10 4x4 pickup truck with a 4.3 motor and a 700R tranny.I pulled up to a stop light one day.And the truck would not take off in drive.I could put it in R and back up.But the transmission lost all forward gears.Is there something i can do to fix this?Or is my transmission just shot? Roy

Hi Roy....first off is the fluid level ok...if good smell it, does it smell burnt... if it has a burnt smell to it chances are it has gone bad...if not try changing trans filter and flush...if that doesnt help you probably have an internal problem....hope this helps
