Question
on my 1994 Chevy silverado is the drive shaft supposed to turn along in 2 wheel drive or is there some kind of electronic solenoid to unlock the drive shaft to the tranfer case?

Answer
Hi Stan... if you have electronic 4X4 then it should be disengauged...check the vacum solonid to the front drive actuator. thats the pot that has the cable that engauges the front axel. when in 2 whl drive it should have no vacum to the pot...hope this helps
