Question
hi i have a 95 Z28 camaro and the distributor went took it to the shop got it diagnosed they put in a new one and it started up great after a half an hour it went.now they have went through 3 more each going with in half an hour ????

Answer
Hi Rob... what went...the pick up module or the reluctor....i would check the ign circut for a short to ground...or maybe a voltage spike from the alt....try isolating the dist from the block..IE: make sure the gasket under the dist shaft is there. hook up volt meter and see if you have voltage in the dist housing which would mean a short to ground...if it is isolated you should be able to put ground to the dist and touch pos at the battery and have no reading...check ign circut for broken or frayed wires or touching ground...hope this helps
