Question
I have a 1995 chevy G20 3/4ton 350 engine full conversion van. I have no backup lights. I have replaced the neutral safety switch, fuse and backup lights with no results. I have a Hayes manual that shows a neutral safety switch on the transmission. But the manual was wrong. There is nothing on the transmission has has to do with any electrical harness. I am stumped as to what has caused me not to have backup lights. Is there a backup switch located somewhere in the vehicle that other mechanics are not telling me?

Answer
Hi Joe.... depending on the trans thats in that van the reverse switch could be on the top of the trans where it is hard to get too....if not there then it is in the neutral safety switch. go to your local dealer and get a diagram of the wiring out of the switch. i cannot send any pics over this link...make sure you have power comming out of the switch to the light scoket at the rear. when you go to the dealer take your vin code as this will enable them to get the right diagram for your van....dealers are real friendly these days...hope this helps
