Question
I have a 1975 corvette with the original engine that I don't think has ever had internal work done to it. The engine has 80,000 miles. Runs great, a little blow by.
Do you think I should replace the timing chain and water pump. I live in Phx,AZ. The car was from Kentucky. Thanks

Answer
Hi Howard.. It's never a bad idea to change the timing gears. put in a double roller set and get away from the nylon gear...if you have a little blow by try a can of lucus oil treatment in your next oil change. and the water pump is never a bad idea...i know what it's like in Phx as i vacation there every winter... and i am a corvette lover as i have 2....hope this helps
