Question I HAVE A 95 K1500 5.7L TBI AUTO. RECENTLY BECAME NO START. CHECKED FOR FUEL, NO FUEL AT TBI BUT CAN HEAR PUMP START UP W/KEY. SO NOW I CHECK SPARK, NO SPARK AT CYLINDERS OR EVEN AT COIL, SO I REPLACED IGN MODULE AT DIST. SAME RESULTS. WHAT SHOULD I BE LOOKING AT NEXT? PICK-UP IN DIST?
Answer Hi Ken... if you have no spark and have replaced the ign module check to see if the dist is turning... remove cap and watch when you try to start... if dist rotor doesn't turn then you have a timing chain problem. if ok then check fuses for ecm... if they ok then check for ign referance at the coil. if you have pulse but no spark replace the coil....for fuel if you here pump but have no fuel at the rail check that the impeller on the pump is turning...they are known to break and pump will run but no fuel....hope this helps
