Question so as i said in my subject my truck is running really rich and there is a little bit of blue black smoke coming out of the driver side pipe i adjusted my carb (edelbrock 650 performer) to spec for what the book said and it is not quite so rich but still rich and i don't know what to do
Answer Hi Kyle... sorry but i need a little more info than that...engine size any inprovments you have done , what year....etc.etc. but easy thing is go back to the basics....is timing ok, is firing order right..V8 chev is 18436572 number one cyl is front drivers side and they go drivers bank 1357 pass bank 2468 and rotation is clockwise on the dist...lots of times people get a wire mixed up and it will cause rough running and rich...also check for vacum leaks... around intake and carb....look at.. is it too much carb for your engine...i know this isn't much, but you can start with this. hope i was of some help
