Question
I have a 2000 Camero with a manual transmission. The ignition cylinder and key need to be replaced. What is the procedure without damaging the air bag?

Answer
Hi Tim... basicly you need to disarm the air bag, remove the steering wheel and lock plate to get to the lock cyl. once there on the bottom of the lock cyl housing there is a hole insirt the key into the lock cyl turn to on and then shove a pin into that hole and push up the lock arm and pull the lock cyl at the same time....insert the new lock and put everything back together...hope this helps
