Question
Hello Robert:  I'm replacing the alternator on my 1994 Chevy 1500 pick up.  Somehow, the bushing on the main pivot bolt got pushed into the opening for the alternator body which will not slip into the opening and I cannot budge this bushing backward.  Is there a way to do this? Thank you.

Answer
Hi Terry... put the opening where the bushing is on something solid. spray some lube around the bushing and the opening, using something larger than the bushing opening place it on top, using a punch or something that will work like that tap the bushing back into it's orignal spot.. hard to explain how to do this and i hope you get what i am explaining...if it was right here in front of me it would take like two seconds to do...hope this helps
