Question
Have a 2007 Impala LT. Having problems with the brakes and rotors not lasting very long.Do you have any ideas to what kind of brakes and rotors that would last longer. Don't know what kind to buy. Replaced brakes and rotors 2 times allready on all 4 wheels. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

Answer
Hi Bob... well it sounds like you are using metalic or ceramic pads...find an auto parts store or shop that sells and installs semi metalic pads, they won't chew up rotors any where near as bad as full metalic pads will... also check that the sliders on the calipers are good and free and that the pad retainers are the same ...do not put any grease on the pad retainersand sliders as it will then collect dirt from the road and cause the pads to hang up in the sliders and fail.... hope this helps
