Question
Why wont my car start? it's a 2003 Malibu the theft system light comes on, and I keep trying and trying I know it will start when all the other dash lights come on today it took 45 minutes to start its very frustrating. I just bought it was a private sale and I can't afford to fix it HELPPPPPP PLEASE

Answer
The reason your car won't start is that the theft deterrent system has been activated. try this. Turn the key to the on position and try to start the car. Let off of the key but leave the car in the on position. Do not touch anything else and observe the security light for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, this should go out and then you need to turn the car off for about 10 seconds. then turn the car on and start it. This should resolve the problem.
