Question
Hello

thank you for your help.
I have a 2006 mini van chevy--uplander--and every time i fill up the gas tank, the gas gauge does not work right away (ie the needle points near to empty and stays there).   Generally, the gauge will show that i filled the tank up, but after i have driven for awhile (ie 10 to 20 miles).    What do you think needs to be checked?

thanks

David

Answer
Chances are that the fuel gauge on the pump it's self has a malfunction. It is not uncommon with Chevrolet to see this.Check your wiring and the connector to the pump for damage and if that isn't it, you'll most likely have to change the pump assembly.
