How do I dry set the lifters on a 1982 305 chevy
Hi robert....set them all at .025 when relaxed.(valve closed) then start engine with valve covers off..i usually take an old set and cut slot in the center of them enough so i can get scoket in, helps control oil splash...once running and one at a time if rockers clacking tighten till it stops, loosen till it clacks again, then tighten again till it stops then tighten another 1/2 turn... hope this helps...merry christmas
