Chevrolet Repair/4WD Fuse keeps blowing out

Question
I have 1998 Chevy Suburban 1500 push button 4WD. And the 4WD fuse keeps burning out. I've tryed to replace fuse several times but it just burns out right away.any ideas what it could be. And could it have anything to do with a recent suspention lift?
Hi packman.... check the 4x4 actuator on the transfer case. unplug it and see if fuse stay ok...if it does and blows when you hook it back up i would say actuator is shorting out...replace it....or check for short in the circut...hope this helps...merry christmas

| Comment | thank you very much! I climbed under the suburban to check what you suggested. Right away i saw that it was not even pluged in. And the wire was just dangleing it also had obvious shorts. So i taped the exposed wires( the reason the fuse was blowing) pluged it in and now it works like it should.Thanks again. | ||
