Question
I HAVE A 92 CHEVY SILVERADO 4X4 X-TENDER CAB. 4X4 WANT ENGAGE. WORKED LAST WINTER SORTA, HAD TO SHIFT IT INTO 4 WHEEL MODE A COUPLE OF TIMES BEFORE THE LIGHTS WOULD COME, NOW THIS SEASON IT WANT WORK AT ALL. I READ SOMEWHERE THAT THE ELCTRIC PLUG-IN MIGHT BE LOOSE OR CAME LOOSE ALL TOGETHER, IF THAT'S THE CASE WHERE WOULD I LOOK FOR IT AND HOW HARD IS IT FOR NOVICE TO FIX.

Answer
Hi William...check the connection at the actuator on the transfer case...when you push the button you should here it shift...try tapping with a hammer if connection is ok. they are known to sieze up from sitting. unplug and test circut for power when you push button...hope this helps
