Question I have a 2002 silverado 1500HD 4x4 crewcab. I have never had any problems with it and it has 106000 miles on it. The lights for the push button 4 wheel drive is no longer lighting up and I cant shift into 4 wheel drive. It just happened today when my wife was driving the truck. I checked the 4x4 fuse and disconnected the battery and it still does not work. Thanks for any help in advance.
Answer Hi jerry.... check for power at the actuator on the transfer case....if you have power there tap it lightly with a hammer as they sometimes stick. if no power and the fuse is good check to see if you have power on both sides of the fuse. if you do check the 4x4 control module for power in and out...if power in and no power out change the module...if power both ways then check the circut for an open between the module and the actuator...hope this helps
