Question
Hello Mark,
I e-mailed you a question reguarding this 89 beretta, Here is the question and the answer you gave me but that does seem to be the problem.

Question -
I have a 89 beretta that will turn over but will not start. Also is there a way to check for codes on this yr model to find the problem that way?

Hi Shawn, You didn't give me any details on this one. What's missing....spark,fuel pressure? Will it run on carb cleaner if you spray it into the intake manifold. Let's start there, let me know.

The car is getting fuel, the fuel pump is working and pumpimg fuel What else could cause the car not to start?

Answer
Hi Shawn, If the engine has fuel and the spark plugs are wet with gas, you need to look at the spark! Does it have spark? The most common part to go bad is the ECM (computer) Which won't spary fuel to the engine. You didn't say if it would run on carb cleaner. If it did then you know the fuel system is the problem. If it didn't then the ignition system is the problem
