Question
I was replacing my front disk brake pads and striped out one of my lugs when i pulled the tire off. so now i am replaceing the stiped out stud. My issue is the stud wont pull out the back because it doesnt have enough room to clear. so now i need to pull the hub off but i dont know how. I took off the nut that holds it on but now i cant get the hub off. should it slide off? or do i need to disconect something  eles before i can remove it? Or do i just need a bigger hammer?

Answer
With the caliper OFF and the large axle nut OFF the disc should pull right off. use a BRASS hammer and give it a little persuasion as a STEEL hammer will damage the disc surface.

You can also thread the large nut back on the axle and tap the axle back slighly into the rotor as this way you will not possibly damage the avxle shaft and or split the axle shaft boots by trying to tap the dic off.
