Question
Hi Robert
Brief overview of truck. Ill try to give as much detail as I can and keep it short.
92 Chevy Silv. 1500 4x4 ext. cab, lots of miles but works and looks good all but heater.
Has air, has digital display heat/air.
heater will be working fine then I hear rapid clicking in resister behind glove com. blower stops, dig desplay freezes or goes black. Sometimes it comes back on moments later but not always, Always seems to come back if truck sits shut off for a bit. It will also sometimes freez the display and blower will keep working and can't adjust it. Im freezing or cooking. Sure hope you have a suggestion. Thanks Don

Answer
Hi Don.... mmmmm thats a tough one... check to see if blower motor is overheating...check the voltage draw on it when it does that or check to see if power goes to ground...IE: brushes shorting out against brush holders. check resister for a short as well... it sounds like a short problem. check the controls for a short as well. quick way is to take off the plug find power in and jumper power to one speed on the fan. if it runs fine you problem could be in the controler...wiring problems are always fun...good luck..hope this helps
