Chevrolet Repair/97 tahoe

Question
Hi, I have a 97 tahoe that seems to be having some kind of electrical problem, maybe more than one! The windshield wiper only works when it wants too and doesn't work on all settings when it is working. I heard that GM had a recall of certain 97 trucks but was told mine wasn't a part of the recall. Can you tell me what to check so I can repair myself? Also, flashers and turn signals are showing signs of weakening when in use, sometimes they work at normal speed and other times they are barely blinking. When door is opened interior lights blink off and on and power switches for windows passenger and rear doors work only occassionaly, Drivers side works fine. Gremlins?

Answer
You have a lot going on here. First replace the wiper motor module, dealer part only. There are 3 torx head screws that hold it onto the motor. Replace the turn signal flasher. Check the door jamb switches for the dome lights and replace the window switches that are not working.

Hope this helps
