Chevrolet Repair/'99 Chev Suburban - time delay interior lighting

Question
'99 Chev Suburban. When the exterior doors are opened, the interior lights come on. They should go off after a delay. Recently the delay has been getting longer and longer until now they stay on all the time; unless I use the dome override switch to keep them off all the time.
Any ideas? It's my wife's auto and is annoying her and therefore me.

Thanks for the reply in advance.

Answer
Hi Bruno, The most common thing with this problem is the door jamb switches. Turn the key to on, now close all doors. Go around the truck and open one door at a time and push the door jamb switch in to make the inside lights go off. If you find a switch that makes them go off you have found the problem.

Let me know what you find
