Chevrolet Repair/BRAKE PROBLEMS ON CHEVROLET ASTRO VAN

Question
I have a 95 Chevrolet Astro van, roughly 192K miles, with intermittent brake problems.  My mechanic has installed all new brake pads and turned front rotors and rear drums.  Yet, the brakes 'chatter' when I apply them at high speeds.  It only seems to happen in about 1 out of 20 times so it was difficult for my mechanic to duplicate the problem when he was driving it but it's still enough to scare the wits out of me when it does happen to me when I drive.  Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

Answer
Rotors are cheap to purchase NEW. Buy a new set. It is possible that his machine is out of calibration and is not cutting the rotors correctly.

did he check the RUN-OUT specs on the rotor after he machined them and installed them on the vehicle ?.

Other possibilities are:

worn idler arm(s).

woprn front suspension parts.
