About Van Expertise I have been maintaining a fleet of approximately 55 light, medium and heavy vehicles for over 20 years. Most are 4X4 pickups and off road fire fighting trucks. Some medium duty trucks. Some military light trucks.
I can answer most questions concerning 4X4 engine, drive line, suspension, electrical, and fuel, both diesel and gasoline. Ford, GM, and Dodge, old and new, but prefferably not newer than 99.
Question My radio antenna on my 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe busted off.
I purchased original replacement equipment.
The fixed mast antenna and mount are straightforward to install.
The problem I have is that the cable, attach to the mount, disappears somewhere behind the glove compartment.
Where is the mount cable attached too? How do I get to it? Is it a job for amateurs?
Thanks!
Answer Hi RT,
On the older trucks, the part of the radio that the ant cable plugs into is mounted just to the right, and slightly above the gas pedal, not up in the dash.
Just keep after it. You can do it.
