I have a 94 ck1500 with a 350 motor.  Vehicle starts and runs fine when cold.  Problem is that when I shut it off and then try to restart I get nothing.  No cranking sounds, nothing.  It's almost as if the battery went completely dead.  I can try again later and it starts right up.  I have changed the modulator in the distributor and it still does it.  Need your advice.  Thank you.

Not gonna be ignition...that would keep it from starting, but wouldn't keep it from cranking.
I suspect the starter solenoid, but that is just a guess.
First thing to do is see if battery voltage is getting to it when you turn the key to start. I mean to the small terminal on the starter solenoid.
If power is getting there, you could try the old trick of tapping on the starter while someone else turns the key.
Also check for loose wire connections. Don't forget the ground wire from the right side of the intake manifold, to the firewall.
