Question
I have a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban 1500.  The brand new battery will not hold a charge. Some of the gauges on the truck have gone haywire but the electrical gauge seems to shoe a charge.  I have On star and a DVD in the truck.  Any ideas?

Answer
Hi ralph... first check the battery with a load tester and see if it's ok...if it is then you will have to look and see if something is drawing power. door switches for the int lights, glove box light , under hood light if none of them you could have a short in the wires going to dash or the dash it's self....hope this helps
