I went to open the hood on my 1998 Chevrolet S10 blazer 2wd.  The cord attached to the latch had came unnattached and the hood will not open.  Is there another way to open the hood?  Is this a difficult repair?

Hi Selena, There is a way to open the using a very stiff metal rod the size of a coat hanger. You should also have another S10 with the hood open so you'll know how to move the metal rod to open the latch. You'll need to position the rod at or near the area where the cable connects to the latch.
