Question
I just completed a complete rear brake job on my 97 chev 1500 including replacing the parking brake cables. How do I adjust the parking brake, it goes almost all the way down, but doen not hold the truck?
Hi Vern... is it drum or disc.... if drum there should be an adjustment on the parking brake cable...if disc there will be a star wheel that you axcess thru the rear backing plate...adjust either one till you can feel the brakes drag a little when they are off the ground as you turn them...hope this helps
