About Van Expertise I have been maintaining a fleet of approximately 55 light, medium and heavy vehicles for over 20 years. Most are 4X4 pickups and off road fire fighting trucks. Some medium duty trucks. Some military light trucks.
I can answer most questions concerning 4X4 engine, drive line, suspension, electrical, and fuel, both diesel and gasoline. Ford, GM, and Dodge, old and new, but prefferably not newer than 99.
Question stalled while driving and wont restart-we have fuel and spark --battery and starter are good-had ignition module tested-1992 chevy blazer-4.liter -6cyl.-installed new rotor and dist cap-what next?thank you
Answer Hello Larry,
You have fuel...is it squirting out the injectors?
If so, check the EGR valve to see if it is stuck open, creating a terrible vacuum leak.
If no fuel is squirting out the injectors, check to see if they are pulsing. If they are, check the fuel pressure at the throttle body. Needs to be in the 13PSI range.
Make sure the rotor is actually turning, although if you have spark, it must be.
