Question
hey i have a 95 k2500 chevy 350, 5 speed, my truck will crank and crank put wont fire, i have no spark out of the coil and have repalced, cap, rotor, coil, pick-up coil, and module. im out of ideas got any? the rotor does turn and i have compresion if that helps any.

Answer
Hi Jeff,
First see if there is power to the coil when the key is in run. Then see if there is power in start. It will be a red or pink wire.
Wire connections would be my next thought, like where they come through the firewall.

If there is no power to the coil, check the fuse, then the ignition switch.

That has a PCM also, which may power the coil, and control the spark.

I have been maintaining a fleet of approximately 55 light, medium and heavy vehicles for over 20 years. Most are 4X4 pickups and off road fire fighting trucks. Some medium duty trucks. Some military light trucks. I can answer most questions concerning 4X4 engine, drive line, suspension, electrical, and fuel, both diesel and gasoline. Ford, GM, and Dodge, old and new, but prefferably not newer than 99.
