Question
Hi , i hpoe you can help i just replaced  a engine in my old 67 chev truck the engine i put in was a good running engine from a 72 pick up i have the truck running again my question is i would like to use the distributor that came with the new motor it is G M HEI distributor not like the point distributor i have in there now but i need to know the right why to hook up the electrical from the ignition switch to correct terminal on the distributor can you help thanks

Answer
Hi Garry.... that change is easy....take the wire that goes to the positive side of the coil on your old system to the battery term on the HEI dist. it is in the plug in on the cap. because the dist is HEI and coil included thats all you need to do...one wire... make sure you change the plugs to match the year the motor the dist came from as the points style plugs are too cold. hope this helps
