Question
The check engine light is on when vehicle is cold when vehicle gets warm the light will go out.When the light is on the vehicle slams into gear when you shift from P to D.When the light is off the vehicle shifts easy.

Hi tag... you need to see what codes are stored, hard shift cold may be that your trans filter is getting plugged causing pressure build up when cold, check engine light could be o2 sensor not reading right untill it gets warm. computer will only display light while problem is there but will store a memory code. hope this helps....merry christmas
