Question
What's the trick to replacing the ignition switch on a 1996 Astro van. Straight steering, automatic, v-6. Thanks,  SAM

Answer
Hi Sam... do you want to replace the switch or the lock cyl and key... switch is on top of the steering coloum about half way down towards the fire wall. unplug it and remove the two screws, lift it off the rod and install new one. make sure you get the rod in the hole when you install new one... if lock cyl and key. you need to remove the steering wheel then the signal switch. there is a bolt holding the lock. remove it and pull out the lock cyl. install new one then the bolt the signal switch and steering wheel...hope this helps
