Expertise
I have been maintaining a fleet of approximately 55 light, medium and heavy vehicles for over 20 years. Most are 4X4 pickups and off road fire fighting trucks. Some medium duty trucks. Some military light trucks. I can answer most questions concerning 4X4 engine, drive line, suspension, electrical, and fuel, both diesel and gasoline. Ford, GM, and Dodge, old and new, but prefferably not newer than 99.

Chevrolet Repair - jerky car while driving

Expert: Van - 11/10/2005

Question
Hello Van,

While driving under accelleration my car runs fine. As I letup on the gas pedal, the car starts jerking. Again as I am barily pushing on the pedal. Do you have any ideas what the problem is?
I have a Opel Astra T98 year2000. There was no GM category so I thought I would ask you.

Thanks,

Bill Miner

Answer
Hello Bill,
That sounds like a fuel problem, or fuel mixture, but I don't know anything about an Opal.
Could also be a vacuum leak.

Here is a site to check, and join if you want. Then you can ask questions, but you can browse without signing up.
Signing up is totally free though, and I bet you will like the site.
