Chevrolet Repair/I'm have a feul pump problem

Question
I replaced my feul pump on my 1999 chev 3500 gas duly 2 years ago.  Now when I left out this new year morning to do my landscaping work the truck started but died after a few seconds.  I remember from before to lession for the hum from the feul pump and it was not there.  I put some gas in the feul injector through the hose and it started and ran until the gas in system ran out.  I don't want to drop that tank again so could it be the feul pump relay because the fues to feul pump is good.  I have noticed dash lights going out and other lights on doors.  I had to buy a plug in light to see my heating and redio setting.

Answer
Happy New Year Victor,

This could be a bad fuel pump again. I have not seen a bad fuel pump relay yet so I would count that out. You can try this to get it running. Have someone crank the engine while you hit the bottom of the fuel tank with a large hammer. Be sure to keep the engine cranking while your hitting the tank. This will get 90 percent of the fuel pumps running again for a short time.

Hope this helps

   Have a Great New Year
