Question
Is there a way to test the mass air flow sensor? The trouble code P0102 is intermittenly turning on the service engine soon light on. Also, with a scan tool I got a trouble code of P1870. This code is not listed in my Haynes manual. I have a '96 Chevy S-10 4.3l EDI. Two wheel drive.

Hi Paul,
There is a way to test it, and the best way is with a scan tool. But they do get dirty, especially if you have a K&N filter. Do a google search on MAF sensor cleaning.
