Question
hi i have chevrolet tahoe 1996 shows cylinder misfire in cyl 8 ignition ok, compression ok flashing check engine its got my baffled

thanks

Answer
Hi Dennis, I take it you have replaced all the ignition components on this. The next test to do is the fuel injector flow test, this will tell you if the injector is not flowing enough gas to fire the cylinder. If this test shows good, then you could have a valve that is bad in the number 8 cylinder even though you have good compression. The valves can stick open only when the engine is running so a compression test won't show bad compression. If you can't test the injector, it might be worth your money to take somewhere that can.

Hope this helps
