Question
Hi Van, I have a 92 Chevy Beretta 3.1L,My blower motor works fine for heat and ac. I can hear it blowing at all speeds, however very little air comes through any of the vents at any speed regardless of the setting. No repairs have been done in this area. Can you please direct me to the possible problem? Thank You

Answer
Hi Bill,
First look down there and see if something like a plastic baggie is sucked up against the intake screen for the blower, restricting air flow.
Then, behind the dash, a duct may have fallen off, and is just blowing behind the dash.
Thirdly, the motor may be running, but the squirrel cage fan may have come loose, and is just sitting there.

I have been maintaining a fleet of approximately 55 light, medium and heavy vehicles for over 20 years. Most are 4X4 pickups and off road fire fighting trucks. Some medium duty trucks. Some military light trucks. I can answer most questions concerning 4X4 engine, drive line, suspension, electrical, and fuel, both diesel and gasoline. Ford, GM, and Dodge, old and new, but prefferably not newer than 99.
