Chevrolet Repair/spark plug for chevy malibu 2002

my manual says the spark plug number for my malibu 2002 V6 3.1L is # 41 940 and when i went to get in one of the shops they showed me thru their computer that the right number is # 41 101. some mechanics say 41 940 others 41 101. confused. Need your help which one to use /which is the proper spark plug. thanks
Hi Gary,
I did a Google search for each of those....one is platinum, and the other is Iridium.
The Iridium claims to take the heat better, and last longer, but I have no personal experience with either.
I'd almost bet that the average person couldn't tell any difference.
