Question
i have a 1997 blazer 4.3L 4x4 it has no spark at the coil .the coil isnt getting any signal. the fuses seem to not have any power when i checked them (engine ones) ive checked the wires from the bat. to the starter and traced them up , they all seem ok at this point im not sure where to turn any help would be apperciated. thank you

Answer
Hello Andy,
There are some fusible links that look like wire, but are not. They can blow, yet still look connected due to the rubber covering. I would expect them to be connected to the battery stud on the starter, but could be on the firewall power block.

Otherwise, check the ignition switch, and the connector through the firewall, where all the wires pass through.

I have been maintaining a fleet of approximately 55 light, medium and heavy vehicles for over 20 years. Most are 4X4 pickups and off road fire fighting trucks. Some medium duty trucks. Some military light trucks. I can answer most questions concerning 4X4 engine, drive line, suspension, electrical, and fuel, both diesel and gasoline. Ford, GM, and Dodge, old and new, but prefferably not newer than 99.
