Question I have a 1990 k 1500 chevy, with tilt steering. The steering wheel has begun to wobble, some thing has come lose in the column I think. Before I take it apart will I need parts or will I just have to tighten up some thing? THANKS FOR THE HELP. I have asked you for help before and you are very helpfull, your knowldge is super. Thanks again.
Answer Hi John, No parts needed just lots of time. There are 4 torx head bolts that have come loose in the column. They are located just on the other side of the pivot point or the steering shaft. You will need a tool that pulls out the column pins. You can buy this at a auto parts store for around 10 dollars. You will also need a torx socket to tighten the bolts.
