I bought a truck from an individual and needed to change a flat on the road.  surprise! no tire iron and no way to lower the spare. is the '01 tire iron the short straight with the movable ratchet handle or is it a different design?  thanks in advance!

Hi Glen... the tool for lowing the spare could be in one of two spots...under the hood on the passanger side or if ext cab under the rear seat. if reg cab behind the front seat.could be either a rod and ratchet or a fold up rod the goes in hole in the rear bumper that rotates the spare down... hope this helps
