Question Hello from Moultrie, Ga.
We just received a 6 year old chihuahua puppy from an older lady. It is an applehead chihuahua that weighs 10 pounds.
Is three ounces twice a day with a couple of small dog bones sufficient for him?
Thanks,
Marshall Kennedy
Answer Hello, Marshall. I just want to say, I'm from Texas, and and it is FREEZING here!!! But about your question, um, it should be enough, but I also recommend (if you don't have any other dogs) leaving 2 medium-size dog bowls (1 for food, 1 for water) out in your kitchen or any other area of the house. This way, your pup can come and eat anytime he pleases. But if you want to do it the other way, that should be enough. Here's the rule, though- you should be able to feel his ribs, but not see them. If you can't feel his ribs, feed him less. If you can see his ribs, feed him more. If you need any more help, just send me another question, Marshall!!!
