after delivery. Till now i am not getting the periods as i
am breastfeeding my baby till now and my previous cycle was
irregular. What is the time limit.till what time it is
normal to have the menstrual cycle as its been 14months
since my delivery.

Answer
Neelu,

It's completely normal to not have your cycle resume while you are breastfeeding, even 18 months or more.  When breastfeeding a hormone called prolactin remains high in your body which prevents ovulation and your cycle from returning.

Typically, your cycle won't return until these levels drop far enough, which can occur when the baby is nursing less frequently during the day (about 4 hours or more between feedings) and is not nursing at night or with a gap of at least 6 hours.
