Question What is the difference between implantion bleeding and ovulation spotting. I heard they both look the same. If I starting spotting the bay I was suppose to start my period, could it have been implation spotting? I did have to wear a pad for 2 days but the blood was brown and by the 3rd day it was pink and over with? I just thought it was a strange period. Can you give me your thoughts
Answer Eden,
Implantation bleeding and spotting at ovulation would look very much the same - pink or brown spotting that may only be noticeable when you wipe.
Spotting the day your period is due is not the typical time for implantation bleeding to occur. This would usually happen about 7-10 days after ovulation, or about a week before your period was due.
It could have been a strange period. This can happen for many reasons, such as illness, stress, hormonal changes, etc. The only way to tell for certain would be to take a pregnancy test.
Best,
Catherine
