Question
Hi . Im 7 months pregnant and I have a 3 year old daughter, and lately I've been having a lot of lower back pain and also braxton hicks. When I was pregnant with my 3 yr old I had braxton hicks but I didn't feel them at all.Now im gettin them very often for about 2weeks now. They don't hurt,but I can feel them because my belly tightens up so hard it makes me uncomfortable and it gets kind of hard to breathe.They are coming irregular some closer than others some back to back.with my 1st born I gave birth the day before my due date.Do you think that I will deliver soon?

Answer
Every pregnancy is different, so in one you may experience some and in others not at all. The increased BH contractions are a good sign because it shows your body is preparing for the birth. However, it usually isn't a sign that you are going to deliver soon. A more accurate, non-invasive sign is when you go into a cleaning, preparing, super-orderly mode (otherwise known as nesting). If you're like this normally, you may not see much of a change, but many women experience this about 2 weeks or less before they give birth.

Please let me know if I can help you further or with anything else.

Best wishes,
Helen =)
