Childbirth/conception

Question
If my period is irregular and my due date is march 31, when did I concieved?

Answer
Did your doctor or midwife do an ultrasound in your first trimester to determine the date of conception?  That would be the best way to determine the approximate date of conception with an irregular cycle.

With a due date at the end of March, you would have conceived around July 8 (this can be off by several days).

If you are still pregnant now, there is a chance that the March 31 due date was not accurate, which can happen with an irregular cycle.  If the March 31 due date is not accurate, your approximate date of conception is going to be different as well.

Since 2004, I have also attended births in local hospitals as a birth doula (as of 8/10, I have attended 120 births) so I am able to see firsthand what is working in helping couples deal with labor.
