Question
i just gave birth to my baby i was 27 weeks pregnant the doctor saw his heart was not beating later they said he died guessing around 25 weeks of pregnancy could there of been any chance of preventing a stillbirth in the future?

Answer
I'm so sorry for your loss.

The answer will depend upon the reason for the stillbirth.  Unfortunately, many stillbirths are unexplained.  Many occur due to chromosomal, placental or genetic problems and are unavoidable. Other occur due to poor nutrition or other health factors like drug use, exposure etc.

So, the best course of action is to discuss the potential cause of the stillbirth.  In all probability, it will remain unknown.  However, just because it happened this time, does not mean it will happen again.  I know that's of small comfort, and I wish you all the best in the future.
