Childbirth/nausea during pregnancy

Question
Hello Catherine! I am about 3 1/2 weeks pregnant. This is my third pregnancy. With my first I was extremely nauseous and sick from 6 weeks to 5 months along. With my second, nausea kicked in at 3 weeks and went to about 3 months. And I have tried the ginger, teas, crakers, B vit., etc. I am already getting pretty nauseous and sometimes can't take care of my two little ones(3 1/2 & 21 months) like I need to. I'm hopeing you can tell me something I haven't tried yet that works! There must be a way to balance my body while in this stage.
Thank You!

Answer
Heather,

Congratulations!  There may be a couple of options.  One thing I don't see mentioned is the use of motion sickness bracelets.  You wear these on your wrists and they trigger an acupressure point to reduce nausea.

You can typically find these in a drug store or order them online at places like biobands.com

Alternately, if this doesn't ease your symptoms and you find the nausea so intense that it interferes with your ability to care for your children, you may need to discuss medicinal options with your doctor.  While these are typically a last resort and should only be taken as little as possible and stopped as soon as possible, they are necessary in some cases.

Best,
Catherine
